５月24日から7月24日の期間に受け入れ研究室で各研究プロジェクトを行いました。
また、学内の国際交流活動のInternational CaféやICPの活動へも参加し、両校の学生にとって多種多様な文化に触れ国際意識の向上になりました。
以下、短期留学生の体験談をご紹介します。
In this internship project, we separate into each lab. We two of us are in the KUCHII lab. It is about the cyber physical System. Uemura (Kaori) is a researcher in this lab, and our staff is involved in this project. The theme of this project is "Digital Twin".
We have to reproduce every machine in the manufacturing center and put them in 3D simulation. And then we have to display information that can be taken from sensors in the manufacturing center in the Unity application. It will show real-time data that is being gathered from the sensors. This is something new that we haven't learned before.
For the ASAO lab. The project in this lab is about a machining system. We need to design and create a workpiece by making a die mold and plastic injection process. The NC code is the main method that we use to do the work.
During our stay in KOSEN, we had exchange activities with KOSEN students. We do presentations on Thai culture, quizzes, and games with Japanese students. And also play basketball and badminton. They are nice to us and help us with many things. In college, we were not the only nation that came here to study. But we also have many foreigners who came from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Uganda. We made a lot of new friends, and they are very nice. In this internship, we went to the YASKAWA factory to study. This trip was so fascinating to us. The technology of robots is very high-tech. They also have a medical robot to give the patient the pill.
On weekends, we travel to many places around Kokura and Hakata. But the most beautiful place that we have visited in Japan is not in the city. But it is Hiraodai Mountain. This is our first-time hiking on a mountain in Japan. The view from the top of the mountain is so beautiful. This is one impression that we won't forget. When we came here to Japan, the first impression was that the city was so clean. We can't find any trash bins. And the weather is so nice. The transportation is easy to use. The monorail and JR are connected everywhere. So, there will be no traffic jams on the road. The Japanese food is so delicious, such as sushi, that we went to eat at Mojiko, Udon, Ramen, and Bento.
Lastly, we would like to thank all those who have contributed to this internship period. Without your support, guidance, and encouragement, we may not succeed in our project smoothly. This internship in Japan gave us great experiences that we hadn't expected before. We will use the knowledge that we have gained in this internship to adapt and apply to our major.

このインターンシップ・プロジェクトでは、各研究室に分かれて活動し、私たち2人は久池井研究室です。これはサイバーフィジカルシステムに関するものです。上村（かおり）さんはこの研究室の研究員で、私たちのスタッフもこのプロジェクトに関わっています。プロジェクトのテーマは「デジタル・ツイン」です。ものづくりセンターにあるすべての機械を再現し、3Dシミュレーションに反映させ、ものづくりセンター内のセンサーからの情報を表示させます。これが、私たちが学んだことのない新しいことです。
浅尾研究室についても紹介します。この研究室のプロジェクトは機械加工システムに関するものです。金型を作り、プラスチック射出工程を作ることで作業を設計・計画する必要があります。NCコードは、私たちが作業を行うために使用する主な方法です。
北九州高専での滞在中、高専の学生たちと交流活動を行いました。タイの文化についてのプレゼンテーション、クイズ、ゲームなどを日本の学生と一緒に行いました。また、バスケットボールやバドミントンもしました。皆、私たちに親切で、いろいろなことを助けてくれます。キャンパスにいる留学生は私たちだけではありませんでした。マレーシア、インドネシア、ウガンダから来た留学生など、たくさんいます。私たちは多くの新しい友達を作りました。今回のインターンシップでは、安川電機の工場に研修にも行きました。この研修は私たちにとってとても魅力的なものでした。ロボットの技術はとてもハイテクです。また、患者に薬を投与する医療用ロボットもあります。
週末には、小倉や博多のあちらこちらに出かけます。ですが、日本で最も美しい場所は、私たちが行った街ではなく、平尾台山だと思います。日本で山歩きをしたのはこれが初めてです。山頂からの眺めはとても素晴らしいものです。これは忘れられない印象のひとつです。日本に来てまず感じたのは、街がとてもきれいだということでした。ゴミ箱が見当たらず天気もよく、交通の便もよいです。モノレールとJRはどこでもつながっているので道路が渋滞することもありません。門司港にうどん、ラーメン、弁当を食べに行きましたが、寿司などのように日本食はとてもおいしいです。
最後に、このインターンシップ期間中にご協力いただいたすべての方々に感謝申し上げます。皆様のご支援、ご指導、ご鞭撻がなければ、プロジェクトを円滑に成功させることはできなかったかもしれません。このインターンシップでは、予想もしなかった素晴らしい経験を与えてくれました。このインターンシップで得た知識を自分達の専攻に適応させ、応用していきたいと思います。
